We sure have come along way baby since those early automobile days when the model T and others like it were all the rage. We needed automatic windows and door locks. Buttons to pop open our hoods and trunks. This is when the age of electronics really started to make a big difference in the options that would come with the purchase of a new car.

Who can blame us for becoming so attached to all these automobile luxury features, only today they are not luxury, but are standard fixtures. The luxury features have come into the new age of satellite technology. When we purchase a new car now, providing we want to spend the extra money, we can get one with On Star, a satellite communication system that provides us with many great services. It can locate our vehicle if it is stolen. It can give us directions, it can send help to us if we get lost or are in an accident. It is an amazing added feature.

Not only can we have access to On Star, but many of the new car models come equipped with GPS This is the latest in technology that has recently been made available to the public for navigational purposes. It also operates using satellite signals. It is like having a constant opened road map that is totally dependable. It defiantly does away with any need for arguing between married couples about which way to go or the fight over whether or not to stop and ask someone for directions. That is a miracle in itself. Couples have been having these auto arguments since the car was invented.

Satellite radio has also become a useful and much wanted option as well. The satellite radio stations can follow you all the way across country with virtually no interruptions of signals or even commercials. Commercial free listening is one of the most loved parts of satellite radio.

Who knows what marvelous features our automobiles will have in the future, but people 100 years ago never even dreamed that we would have the things in them that we have today, so nothing that comes along later should really surprise us.
