It all started with a little black and white carton character, Mickey Mouse. He is still the greatest icon that represents everything Disney and there are a lot of things Disney.
From the earliest cartoons, Disney has been successful. It has given some of the most memorable cartoons and movies ever made. Snow White, Cinderella, Old Yeller, Sleeping Beauty, Mary Poppins, and those just touch the tip of the iceberg.
Disney was the creators of popular cartoon characters like Winnie the Pooh, Donald Duck, Goofy, Dumbo, Pinocchio, Bambi, Peter Pan, and Alice in wonderland. The list goes on and on.
In today's world, Disney is just as huge as it ever was. Their latest endeavors have provided us with new movies like the Pirates of the Caribbean and its sequels, The Lion King, A Bug's Life, Finding Nemo, and High School Musical. They have also produced more adult television shows like Desperate Housewives and Lost.
The Disney channel is quite a successful television network. It can be had through cable or satellite. Kids absolutely adore it. It has provided kids today with hipper shows like the phenomenal Hannah Montana, The Cheetah Girls, Lizzie Mcquire, and The Suite Life of Zach and Coty. Kids are wild about all these shows.
Even with the film and television aside, Disney has their theme parks that are visited by millions of tourist and adoring Disney fans, young and old, every year. Disney Land in California, Disney World in Florida, and Disney World in Paris are three of the most famous theme parks in the world.
They feature many rides and so many other interesting things to do and see. They have hotels for those who want to stay as close to the theme parks as possible.
The sales of all the Disney characters in the form of toys are some of the most popular on the market and have been for years. There is no telling how many versions of the Mickey Mouse character alone have been sold since his creation. It is a tremendous business by itself.
Without Disney and all its additions to the entertainment industry, there would be much less quality productions for families to enjoy. It has been and continues to be one of the greatest empires of all time.
